A boy named Addis – what is his story?
Today we went to the village of Tula to visit the families of our three students. I myself wanted to go mainly to see where Addisu currently lives. His grandmother, who looked after him, had recently passed away. We supported her every month with food items to keep Addis from going to school hungry. Another relative came last time. However, it turned out that Addisu lives completely alone. Recently, he has started to appear on the street. Nobody cared about him. The neighbors sometimes gave him something to eat, but they are poor themselves. When I asked "how does he live alone?", the boy started to cry. Neighbors too, and then my employee too. "Well... We're taking him," I decided. I told him to pack what he had and we drove with him to our center - his new home.
