Vocational courses for women in Ethiopia
Last week we solemnly handed certificates to 22 women who completed short 3-month vocational courses – in tailoring or hairdressing. We owe the operation of the workshops to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from which we received a subsidy in 2021. And thanks to this we can continue to provide useful skills and qualifications at a low cost. Although the workshops are not dedicated to children but to adults, their goal is still to reduce the number of street children. Most children who come to us have parents who do not have a stable source of income. That is why the children suffer, do not study, go out into the street. Participants of the courses not only obtain a certificate issued by our foundation, but also take state exams and receive nationally recognized qualifications. Did you know we do such cool stuff?
