The youngest child in our center – Nahom
This is Nahom. He is 4 years old and by far the youngest resident of the center. In principle we do not accept such small children. So how did he come to us?
Some time ago I wrote to you about Beza, whose mother is an alcoholic and lives from begging. This is her younger brother. The problem is that Nahom’s behavior, mainly due to his age and the pathological conditions in which he has been brought up, differs significantly from other kids. He cries a lot, won’t sit still, still can’t go to the toilet, and he was still breastfed. That’s why we thought that maybe there would be a place for him in an orphanage with younger children and nannies. We waited anyway for a government institution to do something about it, but in the end they told us that all organizations refused them because there were no places for new children. So Nahom stayed in our center and somehow he will have to adapt to our conditions, and we to him. We hope he will be fine.
