Summer camp for our students
The most important event of the holiday was the summer camp for all over 110 people under the foundation’s care. More than 10 volunteers helped in the organization – most of them local and two Polish women. Various group activities were held, including: dancing, sewing, first aid, learning methods, jewelry making. There were two trips – one to the museum and the other to a place where the children had a chance to plant trees. Various people gave them interesting lectures, and volunteers provided various entertainment. Children presented their talents during the “Barkot Got Talent” program. Of course, there was plenty of time for firecamp, spontaneous fun, sports and playing football. It was fun! Meanwhile, a need has arisen again and I hope you will help. We have to pay the annual rent so that the children have a roof over their heads and we can help the most needy children in Awassa.
