New year in Ethiopia – school starts
We celebrated the Ethiopian New Year loudly, although without fireworks. On this occasion, we distributed notebooks, school supplies and shoes to our 120 students so that they could start the new school year with joy! Here I would like to thank the Evangelical Church in Switzerland (sorry – I don’t know the exact name, but I really appreciate their generosity) and Nadi Joffe , who prepared the whole project. We also do not forget about the wonderful group of doctors, Primary School No. 31 in Bydgoszcz, the Parish of St. st. Kazimierz in Łochów and in the Roman Catholic Parish. st. Faustina in Bydgoszcz, who a few months ago collected and brought us huge parcels. They included school supplies that were waiting in the store for that day. And what can I add about the celebrations itselves – it was fun as always. Later, we continued the celebration in a more intimate group, with the fire and later on at home.
