Changes in the center
The time of subsidy and big changes is coming to an end. Our center looks completely different than before. We said goodbye to life on cardboard once and for all. We have additional places for boys and a separate and already equipped center for girls. All pupils can sleep on comfortable beds, there is space for personal belongings. We also have a washing machine, so it is a real relief especially for the youngest pupils and their teachers. We have additional chairs so that children who come to open classes do not have to carry school desks. We can name a lot – the living conditions have certainly changed dramatically.
Even though most of the grant-funded classes are coming to an end, many interesting lessons can be continued. A computer room, projector, books – all of these will continue to serve for years to come. Thanks to the training sessions, the employees have acquired practical knowledge that they will use in their work. Thanks to computer training, they will be able to continue teaching our pupils how to use the computer. They also have more knowledge about the rehabilitation of children, their mental health and ways of conducting therapy. They also heard a lot about the methodology of working with children and youth – how to teach effectively and in an interesting way. We believe that they will be able to use this knowledge and ideas in practice and that they will be able to develop their creativity more and more in their further work.
