Basha’s story

Basha (10 years old) has both parents and five siblings. He lives in a traditionally made hut on the edge of Awassa in very poor conditions. His parents do not have a permanent job. Every day they look for a source of income in small physical jobs, such as construction, cleaning, etc. Their income is definitely not sufficient for the basic needs of the family. That is why Basha started going out into the street to sometimes fill an empty stomach and support the family financially with money collected from people. After some time he ended up at the center, where he regularly participates in classes. We see a lot of progress in him, so we would like him to start school in September.

If you would like to support Basha permanently, follow his development, receive up-to-date photos, or even correspond with him, read more about theDistance Adoption campaign and select the name “Basha ” when completing the form.
