Dozens of our students attend the school in the Chaffe district on the outskirts of the city. It’s from this district that many children come to the city center, seeking a living. This means that the families living in this area are very poor. The school principal told us that their students fall asleep on their desks or even collapse because they are so weak from hunger. To address this problem, we decided to start a feeding program at this school. 500 children receive a meal before classes. This was started as part of the project entitled “Equal opportunities for children at risk of social exclusion through education and expanding professional activation activities for unemployed people, especially women” with a total funding of USD 24,995.
