Education is a tool that can change the world. Most street children come from completely uneducated families. The children’s parents not only did not finish primary school, but also do not know any profession that could help them find employment. That’s why they try to look for different jobs, such as cleaning, washing, carrying heavy things, to earn their daily bread. It is not easy to get a permanent job in Ethiopia, because there are too many such people without any education. That is why we try to help not by handing out clothes or food, which everyone needs, but through education – in the case of children it is primary school, and in the case of parents –vocational training. Further rounds of vocational courses are underway, attended by people without permanent employment, including eight family members of the children we support. We are teaching them tailoring and hairdressing.
