Mumu’s story
Mumu (age 7) is one of his parents’ six children. They live in a small hut in the suburbs of Awassa city. No one in the family has a steady source of income. Sometimes they manage to earn something from small one-day physical work, such as cleaning. Due to the very difficult situation in the family, the children started going out into the street, begging for coins and something to eat. Mumu is the youngest of them, so we hope his education will help him live a different life. The boy attended the open and indicative program regularly. At the moment he can write and read a little. We want to send him to school from September, so he needs constant support.
If you would like to support Mumu permanently, follow his development, receive up-to-date photos, or even correspond with him, read more about the “Distance Adoption” campaign and select the name “Mumu” when completing the form.
