Accomplishment of the project of Polish aid
We accomplished the project entitled “Equal opportunities for children at risk of social exclusion through education and expanding professional activation activities for unemployed people, especially women”. Recently we presented our activities and their results in the presence of local authorities. The most important achievements of this project include:
– helping 30 street children begin their education (some live with their families and attend school in their local community, while others joined the center).
– over 500 impoverished children received meals at school
– 109 people completed vocational training courses (in the last six months)
– purchasing new equipment, including an interlock sewing machine and a button sewing machine, a new carpentry machine, straighteners, and a printer for printing books and educational materials for children
– 5 women received a kit to start their own business
– providing the village school with new books
– producing new furniture in our carpentry workshop: a kitchen cabinet, a sewing table, cabinets for the center, a bookcase, and more.
We were able to implement many activities in a short time thanks to funding from Polish development aid totaling USD 24,910.
Project co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
