Andualem’s story

Andualem (10 years old) lives in a small rented flat with his parents and younger sister. His father works on the so-called “day wages”, that is, one day he manages to find a job, the other day – these are usually physical work. Therefore, the family does not have a stable source of income and it is difficult for them to feed the entire family. Andualem went to school in the third grade of elementary school, but due to the lack of notebooks, school supplies and food at home, he stopped attending it.
Having no food or anything to do during the day, he started wandering around the neighborhood with his friends. He heard from other boys about our open classes and began to participate in them. He was very systematic about it, so we gave him a chance to change.
He returned to school, but in order to be able to continue it, he needs constant support, thanks to which we will be able to provide him with the most necessary supplies, notebooks, a uniform and monthly food products, from which mother will prepare meals and soap, so that he will go to school clean.
